I believe #Nobel created his prizes to partly make up for the harm he felt his inventions had caused.

And I remember reading that the creator of the first word processor wouldn't h
accept student assignments unless they were hand written or typed. He felt weird percussion hack style writing was inferior to the prices of imagining the whole structure and then writing it.

Wonder what he thinks of chatgpt llm generated stuff.

He won the #Nobel #Prize for #Literature in 1962.

John's #Grave is at the #Garden of Memories Cemetery, and his #Ashes are #Buried under an #Oak #Tree.

#Steinbeck turned his grandmother's house in #PacificGrove on the #Monterey Peninsula into a #Writing #Retreat. He added a #Garden and a little #Studio and found #Inspiration there.

Today the house is available for rent on #Airbnb.
