My back still isn't quite 100%, but I went swimming this lunchtime for the first time this year. Only 12 lengths (I usually do 50), but enough to start with, and it was really great to be back in the pool.

This is the latest in the year that I have ever gone #sea swimming. I’ve always been a fair weather swimmer.

I am usually a reluctant Welsh-writer, because I know it’s imperfect, but i’m trying to lose that fear. Roedd y dŵr yn oer, y gwynt yn gryf, a’r teimlad yn anhygoel.

My legs felt like a thousand needles prickled them as I got in, but there is nothing like it for bringing you into the moment. It was glorious, bendigedig, perffaith, perfection.

Running on bedrock up the zig-zag hill this morning. Then a 10 minutes’ swim.
