Does anybody know of any organizations in the US committed to reducing noise pollution? Web searches haven't unearthed much of interest yet. My main interest is reducing traffic noise (especially cars specifically designed to be insanely loud), but any group working on broader noise issues is fine. I assume there are local groups active in certain cities, but I'm much more interested in a national group since I'm in the suburbs. Boosts appreciated. I'd also welcome suggestions for hashtags to follow.

I’ve been talking quite a lot recently about how noise pollution in the ocean makes ocean creatures (especially whales) stressed, and I’m currently sitting in a train trying to concentrate on work while a very jolly bunch of party-goers around me drink Prosecco and gossip loudly and happily.
