#Opuntia stricta (and other ssp) is an invasive species in #Kenya,
estimated to cover 50-75% of grazing lands in Laikipia County,
seriously threatening the livelihoods of pastoralists, killing livestock.
This in the midst of a serious drought in many parts of #Kenya.
Paradoxically, #Opuntia is edible for both humans and animals,
and a staple delikatesse in other parts of the world, know as #Nopales.
