Sucked into #Northgard all weekend. But... last night was the first time I experienced multiplayer server issues, with a bunch more today. MAYBE it's actually the fault of the third laptop we added to the mix (Lenovo Y540, Windows) so we'll see how it goes when it's back to 2 of us. But I'm pretty sure Linux Mint is not to blame.

Just entered my #satire #NorseMythology remix 'Why Odin Drinks' into the two big indie awards it's eligible for. It's not a story collection. It's not an anthology. It's four consecutive novellas that don't *exactly* form a novel, but if I added 'Part I', 'Part II', etc. to the titles I could argue it's a novel in parts. Publishers Weekly was like 'thank u next'.

I like being here exactly because there *isn't* one huge community where I can suddenly find myself attacked by 1000 people because I drunk-posted something stupid five years ago, or because I put #LGBTQ characters in my #NorseMythology books. A lot of ex-Tweeps want that "town square," though, and complain #Mastodon isn't it. Which is a bit like going to a fast food restaurant and demanding to speak to the manager about the lack of steak and expensive wines in the menu. This just isn't it.
