anyone who posts about an interest like this should hashtag their post to make it searchable. in some 3rd party apps, you can set certain hashtags to follow. even if someone isn't in a North American Pawpaw list, if they make one post about Pawpaws, I'll be able to see them if they're followed or boosted by someone on my instance. To make posts easily readable by screenreaders, it's best to list #'s at the end of a post and use #CamelCase #NorthAmericanPawpaw #Pawpaw #Gardening

Make sure you look into a second pawpaw tree, since they aren't generally self fertile. They need a partner to cross pollinate each other. Kentucky State University has a lot of info since they have the only full time pawpaw research program. I'm going to check out The Ohio State University info, too, since they are actively conducting pawpaw research. Hoping for fruit in 2-3 years, will be attending Ohio's Pawpaw Festival faithfully each September until then! This year, I introduced two coworkers, my husband, and his family to pawpaws. People keep asking how they should #Winterize their #NorthAmericanPawpaw #AsiminaTriloba trees: if they're in pots (fall planting is fine so there's not much reason to keep them in pots), don't let the roots freeze, if they're in the ground, just paint the trunks with half water half interior white latex paint to reflect the winter sun to prevent southwest injury caused by repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

I made Kentucky State University's North American Pawpaw recipes into pdfs. I also have an annual list of tasks for growing and tending to pawpaw trees. In November, we paint our trees white if they're in the ground in full sun, to prevent southwest injury from the bark freezing and thawing.
