No matter where you live you can help our turtles. Please don't release balloons into the air....what goes up, must come down...somewhere. These photos were taken on Holden Beach. Not only are they litter, but when floating in the ocean, they can look like jellyfish, a favorite food of sea turtles. This could be deadly to a sea turtle.

Bridge - The Holden Beach Bridge will be closed to traffic should sustained wind speeds reach 45 MPH or greater. The bridge would be reopened when conditions subside and passage is deemed safe by the Chief of Police.
