Been long overdue to dedicate a good chunk of weekend time to #writing ! Decided to give @obsidian some love again since it's been a while.

Went ahead and updated to a new theme, and then I remembered...this app is so damn beautiful!!! 🤩 💯

It's always a choice between #notesnook and #obsidian , but when I'm on my #arch box it's almost always the latter! 🤘 :arch: 🔮

+ красивый. Сильно лучше выглядит
+ Дешевле (аж на $17 в год)
+ E2E
+ лучше мобильное приложение
+ OTP 2FA

- не настоящий офлайн при синхронизации
- не умеет экспортировать md с вложением
- в Linux desktop app не работает экспорт в PDF и HTML (сломан)

Вот и вопрос, что вроде нравится, но перейти на него, кажется не получится

Bootnotes ещё смотрел. на много дороже и ту мач функций

Проект @notesnook развивается. Каждое обновление привносит что-то новое. Решил поставить, буду ждать, еогда, может быть, шифровать заметки можно будет без создания учётной записи 🤞🤞

No logro decidirme entre @notesnook y @standardnotes ... Hace un tiempo que vengo usando las dos, tanto para notas rápidas, listas, apuntes y hasta diario... Las dos son muy buenas pero no me resulta cómodo tener dos apps. Quiero decidirme por una y me esta costando ja. Las conocen? Las han usado? Alguna opinión, consejo, sugerencia?

Vorhin einen längeren Text am PC in #Notesnook geschrieben und nach der Synchronisation kann ich die App am Smartphone zwar noch öffnen, aber das Synchronisieren am Smartphone oder das Öffnen von dem Text führt zum Absturz der App. So macht das leider keinen Spaß.

@ilyess Was reading across your blog. Looks like you're pretty frustrated with all the note taking apps. Have you tried Notesnook ? It has better and more features in the free plan than StandardNotes

Notesnook is such a great alternative of Standard Notes when it comes to private note apps. They made great effort to make the UX decent. It has a lot features that the latter lack. Unfortunately the only thing that is missing imo, is the lack of passcode to lock the app entirely, not the just the vault or some notes (a paywalled feature, bad for a free-user me). It's honestly the only thing that prevents me from switching. So for now, I use SN.

I kept having freezing issues with #Joplin, so I decided to try #Notesnook instead.

It's so smooth and pretty, it almost makes me cry.

I have a Windows PC but regularly use an app called #DayOne on the iPhone to keep a diary. Big problem is that DayOne doesn't have a web interface - have been waiting YEARS for it - nor a standalone Windows app. There is a mac app but that doesn't help me. I hate typing diary entries on the phone which has forced me to enter them on the PC in #Simplenote and then go to the phone, copy the text and then paste it manually into DayOne. Pain in the arse. I recently discovered #Notesnook and thought it was far better than Simplenote feature-wise, including potentially as a staging app for my diary entries. But nope. When you select all text on iPhone it doesn't select the heading as well. WHY? I thought of #Drafts too, but once again, that doesn't have web or PC app. I honestly don't understand why some of the most basic sensible logical features escape app developers completely. Simplenote still reigns supreme as the most straightforward, easy to use note app AFAIC.

God. I just learned that #Notesnook doesn’t support real-time sharing/collaboration on notes. Dealbreaker. Blah - back to #Simplenote. The search for a SN replacement continues.

This note taking app is gosh-dang magic. @notesnook is privacy-focused, open source, eye towards a quality experience with no compromises, and unlimited note syncing on the free tier built right in!

Check it out. It moved me away from Obsidian because I wanted a Google Keep experience where I wanted notes on my phone to sync as easily to my desktop as if they were in the cloud.

Messing around with #Notesnook for the first time. I like it a lot. Firstly, it has a FREE plan (some other systems don't have this, I believe EVERYTHING should have at least a lame free tier for individual users). Their free tier gets you encryption, unlimited device sync (screw you, #Evernote and #Lastpass!), offline access, unlimited notes, and rich text editor with markdown support (screw you, #StandardNotes!) and text/background color. Plus checklists, outline lists, math formulas, quotes and code blocks. Pro gets you a stack of other stuff for $50/year, which I wouldn't use since I already have #Obsidian. And yes I could use Obsidian for all of the above, but I'm looking for a cheap and easy replacement for #Simplenote and this just might be it. First impression is super favorable! Windows, iOS app or web.

Oh, and you can publish a note to a publically accessible URL - either permanently, or "self destruct on first view". With the free plan! Nice!
