Such a colorful array of fishing boats safely tied up in Digby Harbor!
Digby #Nova Scotia is a town on Nova Scotia's Bay of Fundy coast. It is home to a large fishing fleet of scallop draggers or trawlers. This type of boat is named as the boat drags a device known as the Digby Drag - a metal frame with teeth with a net attached. The McMaster Mill Historic Site is located near Kingston, #Nova Scotia. No longer an active sawmill, it has become a nature lover's paradise.
On this day, the water was still managing to cascade over the falls of the Fales River, although the build up of ice was impressive. The train station in Tatamagouche #Nova Scotia is an example of 19th century architecture. Built in 1887 by Intercolonial Railway, it was a vital travel link until the mid 20th century.
The building was saved from demolition in 1974 and in 1989 started its new life as an Inn, restaurant and gift shop.
