I've not done too much coding been trying to get through some of my TBR pile partially successful. I'm currently debating how to work with #Nuxt v3 for my portfolio do I use doc driven mode or not? π€ As will be using content module for blog... #Nuxt #vue decision to be made I'll try with & without and see how I feel about it.
When you're trying to commit to your site and build on netlify fails. I'm not 100% sure when previous blog post committed and processed fine. I've been doing a bit of tweaking with site but not much. Something is incompatible π€·
I'm hoping downgrading the node version fixes it seems to have done the trick when building locally. I'm planning to rebuild my site with Nuxt 3 maybe I'll be doing that sooner than I planned... #coding #Nuxt #webdev

I've got my Blender 3D donut rendering (well, most of it) in a web browser, so a big step for me.
So far it's been not a lot of effort for quite a bit of reward, at least as far as getting the thing in a browser is concerned, so that's encouraging. Exported the model as a GLTF file and imported into three.js but it's missing some data, mainly the all important sprinkles but also a texture map. Working on it.
Advice welcome.

Continuing my 3D journey by preparing a web environment for playing around with https://dashing-squirrel-5a15c7.netlify.app/
Quickly threw together a Docker container, Nuxt 3 app inside it, bare bones Three.js demo and then deployed the static output to Netlify.

Spent an hour trying to get `useAsyncData` `pick` to work with an object... Turns out I needed `transform` for that.
Upgrading our @Nuxt boilerplate from v2 to v3 next week, via the bridge. Usually I wouldn't upgrade so soon after a major version #webdev but the team is nimble enough with projects of varying scale where we can try it out (hopefully) painlessly. That's a really cool perk.
Anyone else made the jump?

Spent my day exploring @nuxt Nuxt Image plugin. Reasonably impressed with it but, man, they really didn't get `<picture>` right.
But I can fix it myself as they very handily exposed a function, `$img()`, so I can ignore the custom `<nuxt-picture>` and `<nuxt-img>` components and write native equivalents myself π

#Introduction Hello!π I'm a front-end developer.
The world wide web has fascinated me for the past 25 years. I'm very happy to play a small part in furthering it's reach and impact. I've worked with lots of stacks over the years; #WordPress, #Drupal, #Nuxt and #Shopify to name a few. I spend most of my time in #Vue /Nuxt these days and look forward to helping push the web forward with the greatest tech on the world's greatest platform. I also love my family, the outdoors, #beer and #music.
