@keithzg @cypnk @gemlog See, now that's a criticism of #OfficialBilingualism as it is: ineffective.

How about the fact that English Canadian schools teach French as spoken in Paris, and French Canadian schools teach American English? Crazy, eh?

@gemlog @cypnk Oh, there are intelligent criticisms of #OfficialBilingualism , and there are silly ones like worrying about packaging. But it's generally best to let people express their opinions, rather than keeping them hidden.

I personally have no objection to Chinese signage, though here in #Québec that gets people in trouble with the #OQLF from time to time.
