Fixing just the worst leaks in the #PermianBasin oilfield’s infrastructure could cut methane #emissions by 55 tons an hour, according to a study by #NASA, University of Arizona, and #ASU.
About half of the biggest sources of methane in the Basin oilfield are likely to be malfunctioning #oilfield equipment.

By Dec. 2019, the integrated energy major had commenced production at the #Liza #oilfield with the capacity to pump 120,000 barrels daily. During Sep. 2020, Exxon made its 18th #oil discovery in the #StabroekBlock & upgraded its estimated resources to more than 8 billion barrels.
