On this very day, ten years ago #Snowden flew from Hawaii to Hong Kong, starting his brave journey to tell the world how national agencies (not only in the #USA) are practicing illegal #surveillance to an extend we did not even want to think.

It's appropriate to feel some nostalgia as the old year fades into oblivion. What I am feeling tonight, however, is not ordinary nostalgia. To a certainty, whatever the next year holds, it will be neither ordinary nor comforting. To commemorate it all, I am re-watching #OliverStone's #Platoon.
