Lol. I had a contractor for a major pharma company try to pull this with #OpenMS. After finding out that he had been brought in to replace the team of employees who actually understood our software I responded in the same vein as Max. So far just hearing crickets from them.

My wife has recently been reading a bunch of scientific literature for a new job. She's noticed that we are really bad about creating #backronyms. Would there be any interest in a hashtag or an account to collect the ones that we all come across*? #Science #TeamMassSpec #scientists

KNWF is a KNIME workflow. I've not seen any of the others but I can look through our code-base to see if they are recognized by #OpenMS

I love this. Need to see if #OpenMS can add an option to export mass spectra to 3d printable formats.

Since I'm seeing more #RNA and #massSpectrometry folks here so here's a bit more thorough description of my work:
Chemical modifications to RNA are important. Mass Spectrometry is a good technology for "seeing" modifications, but the data are difficult to process. My current research focus is in improving our #opensource #NucleicAcidSearchEngine to make analysis easier. Our initial release is here: https://www.nature.com/articles/s41467-020-14665-7. We are currently working on major improvements for version 2.0. #OpenMS

#introduction - My interest in open-source and decentralized internet governance has out-competed my wariness for new social media. My primary research interest is using #massSpectrometry to analyze complex #RNA modifications. I'm one of the maintainers of #OpenMS, and am a firm believer in using #openSource software for #OpenScience.
