Dancing and angry on the street!

Against empty buildings! - For more open spaces and living space in Oldenburg
Oldenburg has a problem. Supermarket prices are rising, rents are getting more expensive and for many its getting even harder at the end of the month. Others cannot find (affordable) living space in Oldenburg and are pushed to the outskirts. In addition, there is a lack of places, especially for young people, to try out and develop self-governed and without much money.
At the same time, many apartments and houses in Oldenburg are empty. They are used by real estate companies or individuals for speculation. But living space must not be a mere product!
Bcause of that we are taking back the streets on 1 May, the day of the work
Dancing, loud and angry, because the problem affects us all! Be a part of it, bring your friends and come to the night dance demonstration.
Monday, May 1, 8 p.m. at the in front of the main train station in Oldenburg.
As long as houses are empty, we take the street!

@goodlawproject I am severely #disabled & #ChronicallyIll resulting in my being #bedridden c.99% of the time. For myself #parks are of no use, unless they contain planting that encourages insects or trees to clean the #air - not all do! However, children need somewhere to #play, to run about, etc. Even expensive #MiddleClass homes are constructed with tiny #gardens. Most children need #OpenSpaces. I am a retired reception-teacher (Kindergarten).

I did a little intro post, but want to show any new followers here what it looks like.

#metroscapes is where natural and built environments collide. That's a fancy way of describing where #parks and #OpenSpaces slice through #cities. That's where I like to walk, and I do a kind of micro #documentary.

Here's an example. In April 2019, I followed #highlandcreek through central / northern #scarborough. A 16.7km walk where I took 56 pictures to show the creek's urbanity. https://metroscapes.ca/walks/2019-04-07/
