At the end of World War II, the #US recruited a large number of senior Nazis.
The founder of West German spy agency the BND, Reinhart Gehlen, for example, was a major war criminal, the head of Nazi intelligence in its war of aggression against the Soviet Union. He was later recruited by the #CIA for the same reason.
It’s a story I’ve written about before in my series about #Operation_Gladio, #NATO’s secret anti-communist “stay behind” armies, which were packed by #Nazis.
