At the eye doctor's today, the two receptionists were wearing #masks, as was the #ophthalmologist, as of course was I. The #OptometryAssistant who gave me my eye exam wasn't. Most annoying. I know the state doesn't mandate masks anymore, but this is a medical establishment, and they can do it themselves. The lab where I get my monthly blood tests does.

Finally had my regular eye appointment today, three months late. The delay was caused by me getting a #PosteriorVitreousDetachment (where the gel that fills the eyeball separates from the retina) in my left #eye, two years after getting one in my right. Then there was another appointment when it got worse, then two followups to confirm it was getting better, with no complications.

Today's appointment was not improved by the #ophthalmologist saying in passing that I was starting to develop cataracts. But now I have my latest #eyeglasses prescription, and will order them next week.

Ah, the joys of #aging. Apparently I'm experiencing a posterior vitreous detachment in my left eye, mate to the PVD my right eye had two years ago. Have to call the #ophthalmologist in the morning. #decrepitude
