Big corporations can afford to spin up their own instances.
Unlike #Twitter or #XING they can't choose to have their ads shielded from comments and criticism.

That being said: I also don't mind #SmallBusinesses and #Freelancers shilling their stuff on their accounts.
People still need to survive late-stage capitalism and I think that #Mastodon's #Fediverse supports #OrganicGrowth instead of #capital.
