#RPGaDAY2023 Day 31 - Favourite RPG. **DON'T MAKE ME CHOOOOOOOSE!** There are so many, great, great games out there, and they all bring something different. Just this year I've hugely enjoyed #TrophyDark, #Liminal, #YellowKing, #BlueHack, #Numenera, #BlackSwordHack, #Pendragon, #MatronsOfMystery, #OSE, #Mausritter, #OutOfTheAshes, #RiversOfLondon and more. All were fabulous, all were different. So, my favourite RPG is all the RPGs - diversity rules!

First game of #OutOfTheAshes tonight. Zenobia Aprena, Vespan ranger is on a mission to protect her community, while I find out if the Roll20 character sheet I made for the game measures up.

A great game about what you do when the war against the evil empire has been won but now you have to live in the aftermath.

Spent three hours this afternoon with Clive on @roll20 making a button appear that lets you roll your Athletics, buy an extra die with spirit, and activate a key. At least in theory.

#OutoftheAshes may be go after all.

And we finally finished the "one-shot" in the Quickstart for @TheTweedmeister's Out of the Ashes in the third session.
We managed to defeat the horrible creature that was corrupting the landscape and after some serious haggling and persuading retrieve the Aegis of Ursos from its keepers.
Excellently GMed by @Jwmuk and valiantly played by companions @elevatedpachyderm, @FriendlyFiend and the Player with no Name. #TTRPG #RPG #OutOfTheAshes

Here we go, it's the final session of @TheTweedmeister's #OutoftheAshes. It has taken 3 sessions to finish the quickstart and it's been a lorra lorra fun with @karohemd @elevatedpachyderm @FriendlyFiend & Private No One Really (one day we'll discover his name, it may be Gordon, I'm not sure). Now there is a monstrous *redacted* to fight, wish them luck! #ttrpg AND it's free!!!!

@Morgunin The battle for our attention and interest takes the next stage. It is quite possible that the courts will be called upon.
But that is only one aspect, when someone develops something for their games, the implicit community building, advertising and ultimately market power of the brand owners basically increases.
I devote my attention to more independent developers, or at least those that don't make such a fuss (e. g. #PbtA? #OutoftheAshes #BoL etc.). More than #DnD #ORC #OGL #OSR …

#Symbaroum is my favourite #DarkFantasy setting in recent years! I helped to make the English version possible. The original system is rather "swingy". @Morgunin can probably say more say about the #DnD 5e version. He made me interested in this super beautiful and well organised variant. I don't play #dnd5e and clones... Enjoy.

Session two of the Aegis of Ursos & the brave band took on the Smaragd Clan but with some brilliant planning emerged victorious. Now they have reached the source of corruption & their previous battles look like child's play plus there is a sorceress on the loose and looking for revenge!

2022 year marked my proper emergence from the RPG deep freezer.
