Wouldn't it be ironic if a #Pac12 team won the championship in its final season?

#ACC voted and #NCState flipped their vote.**
One more step towards the #PAC12 completely dissolving. #OregonState and #WashingtonState, as expected, are the last ones left.

Adding Cal, Stanford, SMU is the best bad idea the ACC has - Luke DeCock
https://www.charlotteobserver.com/sports/spt-columns-blogs/luke-decock/article278825809.html
- The additions make the ACC measurably worse in football, men’s basketball.
- This expansion isn’t action. It’s reaction.
- If Notre Dame favors expansion, caveat emptor.

"Leaders from Stanford, California, Oregon State and Washington State spoke Thursday, and Stanford told its colleagues it had informed the ACC that it would be open to joining the conference at greatly reduced or even no media rights payout for several years, a person familiar with the discussions told The Associated Press.'
Stanford has a very large group of very rich tech and politically connected alumni donors and a $36B endowment.

Jason Scheer gives the real story of why the #PAC12 collapsed. Almost everything Canzano, Wilner, and most of the national writers had posted, were poorly sourced and wrong.
"Washington and Oregon never intended to sign the deal and have now taken the blame since the conference broke up. That was by design and something that both schools have no problems with whatsoever. "

If you've been paying attention to the #PAC12's demise, this should strike you as amusing.
These two schools were the sources of false info fed to Canzano and others, and the reason why GK felt he had the luxury of time on his side.
Read Luke re the demise of the #PAC12.
As I said earlier, you can't possibly believe that UW, UO made flip-flop-flips within a few hours on a decision that would affect their schools for decades or that UA's decision hinged on others.
To do so is to have a low opinion of the presidents and ADs of UW, UO, and UA.
Everyone's board mtgs (OR, WA, AZ) were before Friday morning.
They were moving on, period.
The revisionist history Canzano is peddling is nonsense.

The honest statement would have been:
"We failed to hold this historic conference together. We regret our failure and apologize to our student-athletes, alumni, schools, and fans."
'“We were literally hours away from a deal that everybody could embrace,” Barnes said.'
_____
No, you weren't. This is the fantasy you told yourself, then told others who publicized this fantasy.
You had years to stop this, but in the end you liked the easy money coming in from the sugar daddy of the conference.
The hypocritical irony of course is that the only way to keep the #PAC12 alive is to destroy other conferences and traditions, now.

On the precipice of the #PAC12 collapsing, people are now coming out on the side against monied interests. And I'm like...really?
Where were you 30 years ago? Did you give two shits when ESPN cornered the market on the BCS? Why did you allow naming rights of stadiums and bowls to move forward?
What if the PAC-12 had caused the collapse of the #Big-12 just 2 years ago?
Want to go back to when it wasn't all about the money?
1995.
Any later than that, you're a hypocrite.
