Help please. I'm going to be #flying with my daughter for the first time since #covid. I have #POTS she has #PANS #PANDAS. We have avoided COVID so far with Bluna Facefit KF-94 masks.

The flight is 2 hours. How do I keep us safe? Is an N-95 enough? Do we need #elastomerics? Suggestions?

Revelatory and eye-opening to me to see her frustration and pain through her eyes. 💔

@DrRichardJChung Going through this right now with my 13 yo kiddo. She's usually the most sociable, bubbly, engaging kid, but she is recovering from #PANS #PANDAS with OCD and severe anxiety symptoms. The difference between the treatment she has received in the past and the treatment she is receiving now is sadly very evident. My kiddo no longer trusts her peds because she sees the difference, too.

@erictopol Super interesting. Thank you for sharing. Could there be any overlap in that finding and #PostCovid #PANS and #LongCovid in children? Understanding immune cells are typically a good thing until they start attacking the wrong thing like the brain and basal ganglia (as suspected in #PANDASPANS)...

We have lots of #postviral and #autoimmune conditions in the house. From #POTS to #PANS.

Quality of life matters.

I switched to steel pans a year ago. Faster heating and lighter than cast iron but same high heat transfer rate. Less mass so deep searing is still a smoking cast iron deal. Normal searing browning and blackening with ease. Pan- flip one handed. Acids tend to strip seasoning a bit but that's no biggie. Not for the form over function types. Season w/"liquid gold" (garlic infused rice bran oil). Metal tools, no problem. Forever pans with care. #cooking #food #pans #chef #castiron
