Back in the day, I mean wayyy back in the day, almost before the words "Let there be light", I used to play games (#boardgames, #RPGs, and others) by post. #PBM - "play by mail".

Then the internet came and killed the hobby. Or all but, anyway. Almost everything went to email, and half the fun - the anticipation - disappeared.

The internet has enabled a lot, and not all of it is better. Not everything needs to be right-now. Slow can be good, too.
