Last night, I was trying to get my new computer to recognize the RAM that I got for it. I've been trying to get it to work for about a day. I went to the ASUS website (the makers of my motherboard) and found that the RAM I bought isn't compatible with the motherboard (though *other* RAM in the same brand are).
The joys of #PCBuilding. #PCBuild
I just fitted a water cooler radiator to the top of my PC case, and I noticed that the top cover of the case is made of metal and plastic (with the plastic being used as a chassis).
Nope, doesn't look like anything will go wrong there. #PCBuilding #PCBuild
Stayed up too late building my PC. It's going to be one of those days. #PCBuild #PCBuilding
I'm putting together a new PC. Got to love that new tower and new PSU smell. #PCbuild #PCBuilding
I am in the process of building a new PC. While many of the parts are nice, I have to go with a 30-series #nVidia RTX GPU. Sadly, I can't brag about my graphics card bulging out of the case. #PCBuild #PCBuilding
My new PC build is coming along nicely. I have the CPU, GPU, power supply, and RAM. The tower and the mother board are on order, and I'm going to get the fans and storage soon. Now all I need is a reason for spending $1,000+ on this. #PCBuild #pcbuilding
I'm building a PC, and I forgot how expensive it was. A grand in and I *still* don't have all the parts. #PCBuild #pcbuilding
Windows has no business running this fast. I am actually starting to weep at the beauty of so much RAM. #PCBuild
When I get a secondary SSD for my #PCBuild, I will likely install Linux on it so I can dual boot. Probably Linux Mint.
Steam has apparently made good strides in making games run well on Linux. I'd like to see their improvements.
Now, if only #VRChat didn't have that stupid EAC that I hear messes with compatibility layers...
Unfortunately, my motherboard will likely take 2 or more weeks to arrive. Hopefully, it'll arrive sooner than expected- or, if they can't get my order to me, they'll just compensate for it with a compatible mobo. #PCBuild
My case for my first PC build arrives tomorrow. Here's my part list!

Oh yeah. I got my PC put together. Didn't even have to do any troubleshooting. It booted right up on the first try. We did end up with a cable that was touching a fan, but that was an easy fix.
Can't say the same about setting up the Beacn Mix Create. Having some weird audio stuttering with that but only in certain apps. It's very weird. That's another day's problem for now.
Little by little I'm getting my setup upgrades. The last part I'm waiting on is my power supply. It's a shame that I can't do a single thing without that one piece.
Looking for PC components in white is ridiculous. Most of the parts cost more than options in black. I feel like I should abandon this plan even though I've wanted a mostly white build since I built my first PC in 2017. I gave up back then. It's just not worth the extra cost is it? #PC #PCBuild
Ok.. but how is a 1050Ti the SAME PRICE it was when I bought mine five years ago??? This isn't okay.
And the search for sales on #PC components begins! Here's to hoping I can find sales on at least 1/3 of the parts I would like without ending up with things I didn't plan on buying!
So, I have been working on a new PC build for gaming, streaming, and video editing for a while now. It is finally almost time to pull the trigger on ordering the parts.
Part of me is excited to have a real solid upgraded machine. Part of me dreads spending the money. And the rest of me is so depressed, it wonders why bother.
Really though, I would love to hear about y'all's builds to encourage me. Who's building? Please show me!!!
