My favorite part? When my kiddo hurled the druid in crocodile form into the fight. The druid was air walking at the time, so no damage!

We did win in the end, and it felt both weird and wonderful to finish a 6 module story arc.

The GM, wrapping up, was reading the end notes... "If the party talks the General out of her position... no chance that was going to happen."

On to my turn!

Wednesday game: this is really two weeks of game, as last week all I talked about was the drama.

Last week: We had 2.5 fights looking for the General. We couldn't find a secret door if you labeled it... My favorite part... one-shotting 3 baddies with a spell. Then, when I was shot in the back from across a gap we couldn't cross easily, I just dropped an Obscuring Mist and kept walking. Also, we totally didn't care about secrecy.

10) Favorite #TTRPG tie-in fiction

I'm not really a fan.

I did enjoy the 6-part short fiction pieces at the end of #Paizo's #PathfinderRPG adventure path issues, until they stopped including them in 2017. I read a few of the PF novels, but never got into them.

And when I was a kid, I liked the #DragonLance original trilogy, though when I re-read them in my 30s, I didn't think it held up.

But, in general, I don't care much about published settings' famous NPCs.

My favorite moments? When my daughter saved my unlucky rolling ass (see above) and the fumble card I pulled when I attempted a melee attack. "Winded: character can only take a move action next round." We had a great laugh as a group making fun of how out of shape my character is! 😄

Wednesday game: We're in the end game now, working our way through the enemy's tower/base. We had a couple of tough fights tonight, and an incredibly kind moment from our GM. After I failed my save on a Destruction spell, and would have been -100 HP, he allowed another character to jump in the way and soak the damage. Whew! I was ready to sit back, but he felt bad about it. As the cleric, the party would have been in a tough spot if I'd died.

I believe it'd be possible to make a D&D-like game I like better, but WotC won't be the one to make it.

#Eberron is my favorite D&D setting by far! But sometimes an original setting is a better fit for a D&Dish idea. And sometimes a fantasy idea isn't particularly D&Dish, but I don't have a system I favor for that yet.

Wednesday game: We speed ran the last three encounters before the final assault on the enemy fort. Our GM thought this was going to be about a month of weekly games! 😂

First one, the druid cast euphoric tranquility and the dragon failed its save. We grabbed the maguffin and teleported to the next site.

Where we paid off the critter to let us grab the maguffin.

Kicked butt last night with my Wednesday group. Serious whiplash from level 1 on Tuesday to level 16 last night.

Favorite part for my character: first hit by the bad guys in the 2nd fight, I was left with 2 HP and in the middle of a troop. I cast Dust Form and walked right out. Then spent the rest of the fight doing healing pulses. Love that selective channel! We ended up with more HP at the end than when we started the fight! 🤣

@Archy yeah, #PF1E is my main system, personally. I often wonder how many fans who prefer it to 2nd Ed are out there. Is it a niche market looking for new content?

While the OGL license won't affect us directly, it does concern me greatly. It was because of OGL that Pathfinder was allowed to exist, and Pathfinder 1e was a huge portion of my gaming life. I have been trying to get informed as much as I can on it, but this really is a strange move on WotC/Hasbro's part. Gaming to us was never this monetized beast like its becoming. And if we wanted to make money, we wouldn't be making ttrpgs. The business culture is changing #wotc #ogl #pathfinder #pf1e #pf2e
