Player Character death can be one of the harshest things to deal with in a campaign and setting the expectations, the frequency, or even the possibility and permanence should be considered during campaign design and a good Session 0.

There are some great optional accessories out there for your P2E game and the Harrow Deck one of them! Both the physical cards as well as the Foundry module can bring mystery and fortunetelling to your campaign!

634 followers · 3562 posts · Server mstdn.socialPSA: a #TTRPG is a spreadsheet with colour text. You can mess with the descriptive colour text all you want, but if you mess with the spreadsheet (e.g., # of dice, modifiers, etc.) you are probably going to break the game.
It doesn't matter that in the real world a spell could be argued to have a certain property or outcome. In the game, that spell is just a range of values derived from dice and you should just accept that mechanics don't 1-to-1 match the real world.

A welcoming table should be the goal and there are many options to try to accomplish it. Pick what you would like to do or make up your own, but many TTRPGs have options built in and the TTRPG Safety toolkit makes presenting the options extremely easy!
