decided to turn my attention to the #pine64 #pinebookpro a bit again, and in the process improved our u-boot handling

i'm glad to see that the regression with u-boot 2022.7 where the kernel did not see sd card is gone, and u-boot 2023.4 works perfectly well, the system does too

@brainblasted Oh, forgot to add that: on a #pine64 #PinePhonePro. The main downstream change still needed to get it working is to disable the v4l2 backend in #PipeWire / #wireplumber so #libcamera is used. Everything else is already upstream or heading that way in e.g. Linux 6.3.

My #pine64 soquartz boards are almost here! They are destined for the core of a new #k3s #TuringPi cluster, so I added some #BGA emmc. Unfortunately, I don't think it is preinstalled.
Should I pick up a cheap cheap trashy hot air station (did I mention cheap?) and try to install it? I'm a blobby solderer on a good day.
There are no replacements if I destroy them. I can probably feed them an endless supply of SD cards instead, but I don't want to..

I am sorry that the pinecil was out of stock immediately after I posted this on the fediverse. But in other news #pine64 now has a store for Europe. Single Board Computers are still missing amongst other things. But the store just started. My soldering iron is on the way from Poland to me.
