Weirdly, I had perhaps the same issue with an #Interac e-transfer this week; I couldn't #deposit it into my credit union account. I thought it was that they'd failed to test their in-house online banking against #Firefox (which I run into a lot... feeling like 1998 again), but I also noticed 3rd-party #cookies being #blocked.

I wonder if #medical/#financial online sites loading Google/Facebook/whatever analytics violates #PIPEDA?

Privacy head smack of the week: A dr office I once visited called me on my mobile yesterday. The lady id'd herself as being with the clinic and proceeded to tell me she had a message for me, could I please give her my birth date to confirm MY identity.

I politely pointed out that I don't give out personal information to strangers calling me and perhaps since she called me she should know if it is me or not.

She was insulted and clearly unimpressed. She persisted. I hung up.
