@ddd #VFR und fliegen in der Nacht schließt sich grundsätzlich nicht aus. Ich habe beispielsweise einen #PPL-A mit #NVFR Rating und darf damit auch in der Nacht fliegen. Wie es speziell um das Segelfliegen nachts steht, vermag ich aber nicht zu sagen. Die Definition der Nacht hängt allerdings auch vom Land ab. In Deutschland beginnt die Nacht mit dem Ende der Bürgerlichen Abenddämmerung und endet mit dem Beginn der Bürgerlichen Morgendämmerung (SERA Artikel 2 Nr. 97).

@Deanbetz @explorergrace Good luck with your checkride! In my country, the #PPL is just like that - #VFR day only. There’s a separate endorsement for night flying. #EASA rules are a little different than #FAA (and for the record, I think that FAA’s are better in this case).

I'm gonna start with a pic of the #plane I did most of my #PPL training with - #Cessna F150M OK-OKF, photographed on its homebase #LKPM (Pribram, Czech Republic). Good times! Note the ancient #Antonov #AN2 OK-JIH in the background. The iconic Antonov biplanes, nicknamed "Andula" ("Annie") in Czech, are still widely used in the #CzechRepublic as #skydiving planes and even fire bombers.
