As the Supreme Court hears the student loan forgiveness case, Joe Biden has done something both sneaky and immeasurably wonderful. He changed the rules on the Income Driven Repayment Plan (IDR) that a ton of us with crushing amounts of student debt are on. I swear to God the department of education is never going to forgive my student loans under #PSLF. It’s been 7 months since they approved it and still nothing.

I received notice from my student loan servicer that my 150K in student loans will be forgiven soon thanks to the Public Service Loan Forgiveness program.

I received the most generic, tell me nothing letter about my #PSLF application yesterday. I've been on hold for >1 hour today trying to get someone to explain it to me. 🤬

Been getting lots of friends who are having their #PSLF forgiveness go through over the past few weeks. So very happy for them and grateful for their public service. 🙏

I bought dinner. I bought 2 pairs of shoes on sale. I didn't panic when I saw my credit card will come due in a few days. I'm considering replacing a vehicle somehow able to survive until now from the late 2000s.

I considered saving. Retirement. Investing. A home. Changing my job. Getting an additional trade, degree, or form of education. Donating.

Exercising. Going to a doctor. Changing my life. For the better.
