#rpgaday2023 WEIRDEST GAME habe glaube ich nie richtig doofe Spiele gespielt. Weird in a good way waren #rufdeswarlock, #puppetland, eine #pta -Runde, bei der wir eine TV-Serie über eine #dsa -Runde gespielt haben und mein eigenes, leider verlorenes "Monster & Maiden", bei dem die Figuren per Flaschendrehen miteinander verwandelt werden.

#introductions We are a long-term project based in Berlin (Germany).
Started in 2011, the project edits #Bible #commentaries and other texts by key authors of #LateAntiquity: Eusebius of Caesarea, Cyril of Alexandria, Hesychius of Jerusalem, Procopius of Gaza, Severian of Gabala and Theodoret of Cyrrhus. Their commentaries and sermons are important in the history of #Christianity because of their powerful influence in the medieval and early modern periods, but they are also an intriguing branch of ancient literary #exegesis, and, as such, are of great interest for literary and historical studies, philology and philosophy.
The editions are published online (and open access) in the Patristic Text Archive (#PTA) and in print in the series "Die griechischen christlichen Schriftsteller (GCS)" (DeGruyter).

@bazpoint My wife chaired the #PTA at our kids' primary school. There were probably 3 people (including her) without whom nothing would have happened at all. The amount of effort that goes into organising even the simplest of events is incredible, and these ladies (I know, but let's admit, it's almost always ladies) are often also juggling full time jobs as well as family commitments. Massive respect to anyone that does it. And massive "up yours" to those who do nothing but criticise.

First time actually watching the kids' school #fireworks display this year after 3 years of being heavily involved behind the scenes while my better half was #PTA treasurer.

Life-tip for anyone going to a PTA display (or other PTA event)... if things are a bit shoddy or there are queues or the mulled wine isn't very warm or whatever... give them a bit of slack. There's almost certainly a core of a handful of parents who have put hundreds of thankless, unpaid hours in to make the thing happen.

#PTA was passed in 1979. @EU_in_Sri_Lanka welcomes today's amendments as first steps in the right direction. The EU urges #SriLanka to take further steps to make the PTA fully compliant with international norms and to continue reducing the use of the PTA.
