Sie wird als Hybridfarbe aus der Familie der Rottöne bezeichnet. Sowohl Purpurrot- als auch Karminrot-Töne können in ihr gefunden werden.

【全白彩虹旗】作為今屆世界盃主辦國，卡塔爾人權問題備受外界批評。紀錄片《Geheimsache Qatar》中，卡塔爾世界盃大使、前國腳薩勒曼（Khalid Salman）受訪時直指「同性戀是種精神病」，並稱同性戀在卡塔爾是「被禁止的」。
作為保守伊斯蘭教國家，同性性行為在卡塔爾被視為非法，最高可被判5年監禁。卡塔爾亦沒有任何法律認可同性之間的婚姻及民事結合關係。
國際足協（FIFA）在世界盃開鑼前，強調今屆世界盃歡迎所有人，無分背景、宗教、性向、種族，但仍促請大家尊重卡塔爾的文化規範——除了OneLove臂章，球隊和球迷持彩虹旗進場，均會遭保安沒收。直至25日，威爾斯足協向FIFA提出質疑，FIFA才宣布容許球迷攜同彩虹旗、佩戴彩虹帽等，措施適用於其他場地及往後賽事。
不過，為聲援LGBT，並對抗卡塔爾世界盃彩虹旗禁令，Pantone（彩通色彩研究所）早推出全白彩虹旗，供LGBT羣不受任何限制，自由地揮舞旗幟。同時製作T恤與臂章，讓LGBT羣或支持者有表達自由，用顏色反對卡塔爾禁止同性戀及各種形式歧視。
全白彩虹旗由Pantone及法國LGBT團體Stop Homophobie合作製成，他們委託法國巴黎廣告公司TBWA 運用特殊宣傳模式，將彩虹旗變成純淨，有和解、自由、愛之意的白色，原來的彩虹色則用色票號碼取代。
Pantone又發起Tag「Colors of Love」串聯活動，以另類設計高舉彩虹旗，用顏色支援LGBT羣。
