I've posted on here before that despite my indie and punk rock posturing, I am an unapologetic #parrothead so it goes without saying I woke up to the worst news today. RIP Jimmy.

OMG I just learned Jimmy Buffett has died. His music has been a huge part of my life and I was lucky to have seen him play multiple times… such a joy! I’m so sad. 😭

This fruitcake will now have a cheeseburger with lettuce and tomato, Heinz 57, French-fried potatoes, a big kosher pickle and a cold draft beer in his honor. Then I’m going to change my latitude and have a boat drink.

I have a nice 4.2mi course that I walk in my neighborhood. Just a bit after I pass the 3mi point, I walk past a house that has a sign that says, “Parrot Head Place.” It always makes me smile, and when I see the owner I say, “Fins Up!” to him.
