I know it feels sometimes like we make the same calls over and over. I'll keep saying what I've said before: repetition works. So we call.

In light of the upcoming changes that will be made to U.S. Congressional Districts as a result of the 2020 Census, it is extremely important to call our Senators and tell them to pass , the For the People Act. We cannot allow gerrymandering to be used to draw district maps.

Script: "Hi, I'm calling as a constituent to say that we need robust reforms that target voter suppression, gerrymandering, money in politics, corruption, and more. A functional democracy is one in which everyone is included and represented. It is especially important now that any new congressional districts are drawn in a fair, non-partisan manner."

Please support S.1, work swiftly to mark it up, and send it to the floor for a vote."

[If Dem add:] "Additionally, we cannot let the filibuster get in the way." :CTA: ☎️ πŸ“² πŸ’»

The GOP doesn't want a democracy, because real democracy has no place for the likes of them.
THEY WANT TO RULE OVER, NOT GOVERN FOR...Β big, big, difference...

In Texas, allowing every American citizen easy access to voting is a bad thing.Β Making it federal law is a political "power grab."Β

But having a state (like Texas, say) go to another state (like Arizona or Pennsylvania, say) and tell them how to hold their elections, well that’s just dandy with the Texas GOP.

@TonyStark voters: this will hit us hard and it won't just hit Democrats and Independents.

Every voter should unite for voting rights. Please call or write. Maybe we can get Rob Portman to do something decent on his way out. Nothing happens if you don't try.

Friends, our democracy is in danger.

Here's why the Senate needs to pass S.1:
Republicans have already introduced 250 bills to restrict voting and suppress voting all over the country. Republicans are working at federal and state levels to encourage voter suppression of anyone who might vote against them:

But remember, we made it through four years of the worst it could possibly be. We got through it and we are stronger, more united, and better organized as a result.

We will fight whatever they throw at us. Let's take five minutes to use our voices on this issue. Remember, they and your vote are your superpowers.

Call your two Senators. 202-224-3121 or senate.gov/senators/senators-c to contact them by local office numbers or email. Or use resist.bot/ to iMessage or text them. And help spread the word to others.
