Found myself morbidly fascinated with Poker Face, a movie Russell Crowe wrote, directed, and starred in. It's idiotic - his character got rich making the first online poker service, then turning it into military-grade surveillance software “by restructuring the code from cards to countries” - but it might have some insight into the A-lister's psyche.
