I've never heard of "The Day of the Triffids" before discovering the corresponding Vilains list for the #PerilousTales miniature game.
I found the book in a street library (a converted phone booth) a few months ago.
Just read it. It's a pretty good book!
This one is in bad shape but that's understandable: it's a 1973 edition, stamped (faded) "Inverness Technical College" on the edge, found in 2022 in a french village, 1941km (1206 miles) from Inverness. :)

The ghost nuns keep coming back.
The agents manage to get from them some information on the history of the place, then quickly leave. An exorcist team will have to come back to clean the church if need be (probably not since the werewolf is dead and the cursed lifted).

A good #soloGaming session with #PerilousTales. All objectives accomplished. Scored 8 VP: "A Tale fit for the telling!" (that I'm not going to tell).
Frank is no Hellboy but he was more than a match to the enraged werewolf.

Almost ready to play a #PerilousTales episode: "The wolves of Saint Augusta".
Now what the /$X*$ have I done with my Threat Markers?! Why are they not in the box?!

Fay vs Red Paladins
Objectives: Rescue prisoner, Recover equipment, Escape. Success, despite the death of the Tusk, killed by a Disaster Strike.
The Cult of Starry Wisdom villain list I used does not really fit the Red Paladin/ Weeping Monk theme, but it was a good game.

Things were going rather well, despite the egg chamber covering a 4th of the board. Of course the Master was the last marker revealed but a predator firing squad was ready to greet it.
That was not as effective as planned.
After that, things went south quickly: Threat Level rose, several "From the Shadows" spawned drones and facehugger. Everybody died but the Leader.
Perilous Tales really does its job well as emulating B Movies.

I wanted to play #orcs Vs #undead on #WarhammerUnderworld boards. With #PerilousTales rules, great for #SoloGaming.
Well... it can be done, but all the different distances/range of actions/effects do not easilly match the Hex grid.
It was an interesting game on a beautifull board nonetheless.

Fifth game, Paramilitary paranormal paraorganization vs "The Ghast" in a Spooky Mansion (Tannhauser map)

It works quite well but I am not enthusiastic. I don't know if it's the Pulp setting, not playing in Campain mode, with no evolution possible for the characters... That's the 2nd game I don't bother to finish.

Fourth game, Monster Hunters vs vampires again.
Found the precious on the Count's dead undead body, called for rescue, killed fiends, everybody alive at the end...VP: 11 "A trully heroic performance".

Monster Hunters vs vampires.
Third solo game, still learning/testing the rules.
Eventhough I like the Perils mechanics, having permanent ones that can attack Heroes in contact with a 13" diameter circular area on a 24X24" board... that, I don't like.

Monster Hunters vs werewolves.
The heroes killed the pack leader, a young werewolf and a "maybe not so common" wolf.
I lost interest after a while and did not try to reach the "Hunt the Fiends" objective.
One guy was bitten, but did not turn into a wolf before escaping. Another one ran for his life when he was seized by terror.
Things were going well, he was about to get away with his pals... I don't know what the frak happened to him.
