Das Fluchthorn – oder auch Piz Fenga – steht an der Grenze zwischen Tirol und Graubünden. Der Berg kratzte mit 3999 m knapp an der Marke zum 4000er. Die Vergangenheitsform wurde ganz bewusst gewählt, denn am vergangenen Wochenende hat das Fluchthorn rund 100 m an Höhe eingebüsst, als dessen Spitze infolge des auftauenden Permafrosts abbrach und auf der österreichischen Seite ins Tal donnerte.

Solche Ereignisse sind in den Alpen erst der Anfang…
