It turns out the most efficient way to definitively take a break from work is to go on holiday somewhere with terrible mobile reception and very shaky WiFi.
This is a problem when there was "one last thing you need to finish" while #OnHoliday though, which is why I'm walking up a hill at 7.30am...

Beavers apparently want privacy!
“Naughty" #beavers have removed a webcam set up to monitor their activities at a #wildlife centre in #Perthshire.
The venue in Doune, Argaty Red Kites, has about a dozen beavers after they were relocated from other parts of Scotland.
Over the weekend, owners were left puzzled by why their "beaver cam" was showing a close-up of sticks and mud.
They said the animals had knocked down the wooden pole holding the camera and dragged it to the roof of their lodge.

Beyond the Frandy Tree
One of my favoured local strolls starts near the Frandy Tree and continues along the road to the Glen Devon reservoirs.
Yesterday I found my rhythm with the walking poles and grips on the boots; next thing I knew, despite the snow, I was further than I'd strolled before and further than anyone else had wandered with their boot & paw-prints that afternoon, too.

Into the Sunset
I arrived at the summit of Kinnoull Hill to see a beautiful patch of golden sunlight and crepuscular rays cast by a cloud in the distance. The road junction marking the start of the M90 going over Friarton Bridge reflecting silver was an extra bonus.
