It's very interesting watching analysis of poll numbers by journos.

With the Cons so far behind the narrative seems to be "can the plucky Sunak make up the ground and secure a sensational comeback?"

When Labour were behind IIRC the prevailing narrative was "hahaha look at those hopeless commies! They're useless. The Cons will surely rule forever!"

In neither case did they lie about the actual numbers, but the spin is very different.
