Working on this #PetProject (#OSM, #LeafletJS and #data from the #police) to visualize the #road #incidents of the past 10 years in and around my hometown, where a #bike was involved in the #crash. The project is exciting, but it is frightening to see in whole how many incidents happened. This is scary. I'll post the link when it is done.

In @KelsonV's blog post about link trails he originally posted back in 2018, he describes the process of opening a bunch of articles from his social feeds to read later, and then having a hard time recalling of finding the original post that linked to it so he could give credit.
It's indeed not uncommon for me either, and now I was wondering how effective a browser extension would be that would track the source and context of links you click on, and perhaps extract OP, booster/reposter, datetime and visibility of social media sites whose structure it recognises.
Of course this would also be a privacy hell ripe for abuse if not handled properly... So I think I'll skip on this #PetProject for now; it's not like I need more personal projects anyway. ;)
And in the end it's more about getting important information out there anyway, and less about who said it first, isn't it?

Okay, so I got a rudimentary first version of #TootPortal working, which is yet another #ScratchYourOwnItches #PetProject.
It allows me to create a directory structure with simple #markdown files in it, which will be converted into #HTML, where each list item that refers to a toot URL (for now only Mastodon style URLs with numeric IDs are supported), gets expanded to the bare minimum content of that status, along with (optionally) any replies to it.

Put on some #MGS / #MGSDRV / #MGSEL #chiptune files via #WinAmp because that's the only #MediaPlayer that seems to support this #MSX audio format, plugged some headphones in, and getting ready to do a bit of related #coding on my #MSXplayRipper #PetProject. :)
