@grpress one thing I've noticed about #michigan is that people say "in the 1800s" to refer to #pioneer culture and wooden shacks... (Michigan was woods for most of the 1800s, it wasn't a state until 1837, and #upNorth / #nwmi wasn't really settled until after the #civilWar. The first train came to #Petoskey in 1873 ).
