Greg and I are both phobic about dentists and hate going, we both end up shaky and weepy after visiting the dentist.

We're talking about how one of the ways we can care for each other is to schedule our yearly dental visits when the other of us is visiting.. so his when I'm in the UK, and mine when he's in Australia.

That way we can bundle each other up in blankets and hugs afterwards, and take care of each other for being brave and doing the thing even though it's scary.

A friend suggested I get a portable gas cooktop so I could cook with my wok, I told him that I would not, because I'm afraid of gas.

He told me his parents were too.

Apparently it's a thing some of us have, but are afraid to admit.

I had to call the plumber the last time my pilot light went out in my hot water service, he showed me what to do but there's no way I'm ever going to touch it.

Welp. I learned how to add a #filter here to protect myself from seeing posts related to my #phobia. I added a large set of related keywords and set it to "hide with a warning". Saw a post with a related word I hadn't added so I edited my filter to include that word. Closed & reopened the app, post still visible. Set it to hide the posts completely. Post still visible. Have I done something wrong I wonder, or are these filters bullshit?
