I was happy to discover that Google Photos supports 360-degree PhotoSphere panoramas. Yay!

This turned out way better than I had imagined it might. Apparently, the first exposure was of a fairly bright subject, so the exposure for the whole panorama is just about right.

Another PhotoSphere panorama from last evening, which has a few minor stitching errors. One of these days, I will get up early and put off my morning routines to re-do this, possibly with the Nikon.

What I find interesting about this image is that the clock on the tower is tack-sharp, while so much of the Ferry Building isn't all that sharp... likely due to camera shake because of the low-light levels.

I did a bunch of PhotoSphere panoramas with the Pixel 6a last night as the lights were coming on in the city, and if there's a way I could get Google's attention, I would ask that there be a way to adjust the exposure before starting the process of recording images, because it makes all the difference in the world between acceptable and not.

Here's one I did of Cupid's Span before the sun went down.

Another PhotoSphere creation, on 15th Avenue/Noriega Street, which circles Grandview Park atop San Francisco's Golden Gate Heights.

I've been using my Google Pixel 6a's PhotoSphere feature a lot lately, and have been quite pleased with the results. Of course, there are certain situations which give it trouble and overhead utility wires are one of those situations. Possibly, if the phone were on something more steady, such as a tripod, the stitching errors might not be so prominent as there wouldn't be as much movement in the lens's axes while making the exposures.

I took a package to the post office and ended up near Union Square.

Good morning! has improved at last, and the is shining! Well, through the clouds, but at least is not raining 😅 . I was able to get the outside, and image one the several active regions currently transiting the . This one, AR 3004, is the larger of the set, and it's quite a sight! Remember, even if they don't look "large" , given the sun's gigantic size, these sunspots are many times bigger than Earth!
