Yes, that is his name. My second attempt at acquiring this wee gem of a figure, and I'm *delighted* he's finally here.

Such precious, so enigma. Wow.

I think reversing him from his actual intended design, to have windscreen forwards like a wee tubby barrel belly, looks better than the reverse. 😄 What do you think?

He's feels very fragile in hand though (Don't we all). Might apply some lube.

From IDW's celebrated award-winning comic series, More Than Meets The Eye, written by James Roberts, came this wonderful collection of vaguely hostile shapes. Abandoned after the war they had to figure out what killing machines were supposed to do when War stopped.

Flywheels, Misfire, Krok, Spinister and Crankcase: "The Scavengers".

God, I miss them.

If you'd like a taste of the show it's on Youtube in English. Tanatos himself appears about 1:50 in, as the second combatant in one of those awfully over-blown CGI intros Asian series like to give characters. It's stupendously reminiscent of Transformers' Unicron-trilogy of shows as well, all Japanese in origin.

Visited the retro store #Mackapär and found this #sofubi fella! It’s Ultraman Alien Emperor, made by Bandai in 1991 and seems to have been well loved by some child before finding his way over here.

I’ve been curious about #Transformers #Binaltech for a while, so when Skids turned up I had to give him an go! Hard to believe he’s almost 20 years old. Fully detailed interior and interesting transformation engineering, though my favorite robot, #Toyhax:ed masterpiece Reboost here (actually a recolor of Skids), is unsurprisingly a lot less finicky and therefore more fun to handle.

(and yeah cars HAVE gotten bigger but here 1/24 vs 1/32 scale is to blame)

Most of the buildings are from Tomytec, roughly 1/144 scale.

More experiments with my phone's filters (I'll stop at some point, I promise), this time with the choatic Decepticon, Flamewar, released as part of the Shattered Glass sub-line in the Generations toyline.

Lots of brown in this shoot, which was an odd choice for this black, red and yellow character. Not so many photos either as I've been a bit under the weather today.
