Definitely didn't know about the user input support in #GIF nor about the local colour table allowing for true colour (though it wouldn't surprise me if I'd subconsciously come across it during some #demoscene production).
Also noticed that the #PixelAspectRatio acid test mentioned in the article is by #FRS, someone I recognise from the #MSX scene. :D
