Field trip joys (& woes) in NSW hunting the rare limestone endemic Grevillea iaspicula. This species is found on limestone karst around the entrances of caves and is vulnerable to grazing by introduced goats. The other species I was targeting was the related Grevillea lanigera, a widespread species found across South-east Australia. I'll be using these species to run a common garden experiment looking at temperature and drought response and stress.

I'm a researcher/restoration practitioner based out of #Vancouver, British Columbia. Much of my work as a consultant is related to #plantecology and #ecologicalrestoration, particularly within #estuaries.

My heart lies within the topics of wetland #invasivespecies, #plantconservation and #plantecology.

On a personal note I have two young kids (Felix, Emma) and love to repair old #guitars on the side.
