Can anyone help me identify this plant please? I used its dry stems and ?pods for my recent gel print mixed media, and I'd love to know what it's called. I vaguely remember it had tiny yellow flowers, but I may be totally confused! Thank you 😊 #PlantNames #wildflowers

in the Swedish province Dalecarlia a fiancée was called ‘she-bear’ & there are many expressions connected with the rituals before a wedding when the bear #metaphor is used. Björn-grånka is the local term for a #spruce tree, #Picea abies, which was set upright against the door of a farm. This was done to prevent ‘the bear’ from coming ‘out of hibernation’

@Awizardofearthsea@todon.nl oh sorry, yes, I mean, keep the common names. They are really interesting and tell something about the history & the many regions the plant is grown.
It's the Latin names I'm thinking about, and their cultivar names. Like, Wisteria is named after a white American guy, but it comes from China & Japan. That's the kind of thing I'm thinking about.
