Weirdly enough... #redditMigration pushed me to #kbin first, then #lemmy due to the availability of apps (I find them more convenient), then got me curious enough to explore #mastodon (been loving it.. learned a lot of interesting things here).

At the same time, the #privacy news about #smartcars and #cars in general, #googlechrome privacy concerns, etc. Have made me re-acknowledge the privacy risks of smart tvs. #raspberrypizero #dongle with #PlasmaBigscreen would be cool.

All I get is this. A login screen with no selectable users.

@PublicLewdness@freespeechextremist.com It's a SBC so shipping it with an UI doesn't make much sense, although we'll probably offer #PlasmaBigscreen as an option at some point in the future.

Devices like this expect the user to do more manual configuration, including starting a UI if they need it. You'll need to install a display manager, postmarketOS normally uses LightDM for X-based UI's but it can be anything.

Does anyone know of a foss set top box for TVs?
I know about #PlasmaBigScreen, but am not sure about its current state.
