The ladder was laid
against a scaffold once
meant to swing joy
into the sky, but without
that future the only thing
left to do was find a way
to walk into the sea
from the center of a
landlocked continent.

The tree watched and wept
sap upon the hillock that rose
from its roots

I dance badly
My feet skittering across the floor,
a-tangle instead of a-tango.
But beauty is not in the eye
of the beholder.
It is in the smile on my face,
The joy I stumble through,
Big feet flapping.

It doesn't matter
no one's clapping,
or that they're watching,
the beautiful pair in the spotlight.
Their effortless flow,
doesn't hold a candle to the glow
of pleasure on my face.

@soulclaphands Thereโ€™s an app for iOS called Abra: A Living Text. Itโ€™s more random-generative than erasure, but erasing is one of the things you can do.
