Not one of my best shots, but thought it was still fun to share. This is an important nesting site for the Snowy Plover, so I hope the #raptor wasn't successful! I used a teleconverter to keep my distance and cropped in quite a bit, so it's a bit mushy. Oh well.

Windblown Eucalyptus, Point Reyes National Seashore, CA, 2022.
A landmark #tree for anyone whose 🥾 the Estero Trail. Cows often gather underneath it. I always spend a few minutes here, usually to catch my breathe . I was fortunate to capture a nice cloud formation that really accentuates the shape of the tree, and the moon makes a small cameo.

Fresh from a dip in #DrakesEstero, this #coyote was VERY focused on a group of pelicans and cormorants it couldn't reach after getting tangled in kelp.
Thought I should share this today since I linked to an earlier article about San Francisco coyotes.
