Sinti*zze und Rom*nja erleben nach wie vor alltäglich Diskriminierung in 🇩🇪. Die Erinnerung an die Opfer der mörderischen rassistischen Verfolgung muss verbunden sein mit dem Einsatz für die gleichen Rechte und mit dem Schutz vor Diskriminierung, Hetze, Gewalt heute.

BuReg und Bundestag sollten die Empfehlungen der Unabhängigen Kommission #Antiziganismus systematisch umsetzen!

Dazu gehört v.a., das Unrecht, das Sinti*zze und Rom*nja während der NS-Zeit und nach 1945 zugefügt wurde, anzuerkennen, aufzuarbeiten und angemessen zu entschädigen.

#Porajmos ist Romanes und bedeutet „das Verschlingen“. So nennen Sinti*zze und Rom*nja den NS-Völkermord, dem wir heute gedenken.

Am 16.12.1942 ordnete Heinrich Himmler mit dem sogenannten Auschwitz-Erlass die Ermordung aller Sinti*zze und Rom*nja an Insgesamt ermordeten die Nationalsozialist*innen in Europa etwa 500.000 Sinti*zze und Rom*nja, die sie zuvor bereits als „Fremdrasse“ markiert, entrechtet und ausgegrenzt hatten.
